With an unwavering commitment to “walk in his clients’ shoes”, Jim leads Advanced Benefits in a dual role of New Client Development and Client Management. He works in partnership with the other members of the team to ensure new ideas are brought to the market that constantly challenge conventional thinking. Jim works diligently to ensure fair and justifiable treatment for all of his valued clients. Jim prides himself in being recognized by his clients as creative, proactive, resourceful and easy to work with.

Jim began his career in benefit consulting in the group division of a large Canadian insurer. 10 years later, in 1997, he joined a national consulting company where he grew and developed benefit sales in Southern Ontario. In late 1999, Jim left the consulting organization to found Advanced Benefits and has focused on growing his company through providing valued added solutions for both clients and prospective clients alike.

Jim obtained his Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation in 2007 and continues to upgrade his knowledge of the industry to benefit his clients. Jim is also a member of The Benefits Alliance Group. Jim is a former chair of the United Way of Kitchener-Waterloo campaign, and a member of Leadership Waterloo Region. He enjoys golf and hockey and is committed to an active lifestyle to maintain his health and wellness.
